Thanks to Robert for the update below. Robert is also keen to send us an article about the TC summer camp at Salcombe in the 1950s which we look forward to receiving. Watch this space!"Hi, my brief history on leaving TC . In partnership with my brother, Michael, we ran a number of retail shops in the West Midlands for 30 years. I married my wife, Brenda, in 1970, and lived in Badger. We sold the shops in 1992, and we moved to Dartmouth, running a Bed and Breakfast business for 10 years. We then moved to the south of France with our eldest daughter, Rachel, to help run a holiday vacation business. We built a house and lived there for 16 years. Then in 2019 we were on a visit to our youngest daughter’s family in Tasmania, she is a GP and moved there 12 years previously, when Covid struck, closing the ports and airports into and out of the state. We loved the island so much, that we decided to sell our home in France, buy a house here and become Australian citizens! Tasmania is a beautiful place to live, full of mountains, forests, lakes and deserted beaches and has the cleanest air in the world. The pace of life is like going back in to the 1950s, small shops and everyone very friendly and love passing the time of day. Sport is a big life style, lots of golf courses and the surfers out every day. It’s a small world, my next door neighbour is an avid Wolves fan and used to stand on the North Bank with his dad, every home match!"
