When families join Tettenhall College, we hope that they become part of our family and community for life. Our aim is to build relationships with our pupils and their families that are mutually beneficial and that last a lifetime and our new Development Office is there to help us to achieve these aims.
Many of you will know me as your school librarian but you may not know that I was previously a teacher and headmistress. Having taken early retirement in order to pursue other projects I found that I missed the school environment and I found myself here at Tettenhall. Having established the library, I am ready for an additional challenge and my experience means that I know the importance fostering good relations that continue after a pupil leaves the school. In taking on this role, I am looking forward to becoming more a part of the school myself, and getting to know better, our already strong band of supporters.
Development is about building a vibrant and thriving community and looking at how its members can help and support each other. My initial priorities in this role are to make sure that we know about you; that we have an accurate and detailed record of who you are and what you do. This includes establishing a professional database to help us to communicate better with you.
We are planning to offer more events and we would love to hear from you about the sort of things you would be interested in. Alongside this, we will continue to support and build on the fantastic work done by the Old Tettenhallians’ Committee.
To achieve all this we really need your support in any form that you can give, whether that is a business connection for work experience, an internship, or careers guidance in school, whether that is financial support by way of donations or whether it is simply supporting school events.
We have a diverse community with a wealth of talent and experience. We would love to hear from you; about your stories, what you are doing and where you are in the world.
Most of all I look forward to meeting you.
